Porto 0 – Liverpool 5
Many expected that Liverpool would get past FC Porto in their last-16 Champions League tie.
But few expected that Liverpool would have the two-legged affair wrapped up after 90 minutes in Portugal.
Liverpool, who have recently suffered bad results like losing at Swansea, put on an amazing performance away at Porto.
The headline maker was Sadio Mane who chipped in with a hat-trick.
Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino also got on the scoresheet as Liverpool ran riot.
What Jamie Carragher told Sadio Mane at halftime
After the match, Mane spoke to Scandinavian TV.
The Senegalese star was interviewed by Jan Aage Fjortoft and Jamie Carragher.
During the interview, Mane and Fjortoft revealed how Carragher instructed Mane to score more goals at halftime.
The advice seemed to work a charm, however. Liverpool were 2-up at the break, while Mane chipped in with two second half goals.
Maybe Carragher should give the Liverpool halftime team talks in the future!

‘Van Dijk was immense’
Another player to earn rave reviews after Porto was record centre-half signing Virgil Van Dijk.
In his first few weeks at Anfield, haters were quick to denounce Van Dijk’s signing as Liverpool struggled to keep clean sheets.
However VVD has helped marshal Liverpool to shutouts away at Southampton and now Porto.
Virgil Van Dijk, who is so vocal on the pitch, is starting to look like the real deal at the heart of the Reds backline.
Is 75 million pounds beginning to look like a bargain for the Reds defender?
.@Carra23: – Van Dijk has been immense.
