Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has successfully undergone surgery on his left knee in London last Tuesday morning, according to Arsenal.com.
The Frenchman is now set for a period of rehabilitation with the club stating he is expected back within four to six weeks.
Lacazette has endured a tough time at in North London since his £52m arrival from Lyon in the summer and a knee injury suffered against Tottenham has further added to his woes.
Knee troubles

During his side’s North London derby defeat at Tottenham, Lacazette took on a hefty knock to his knee, resulting in the player requiring an arthroscopy.
According to his manager Arsene Wenger, the knock caused his knee to “swell” forcing him to need “surgery very quick”.
In midweek, this caused Wenger a big problem, as his side had no striker at Östersunds in the Europa League, with neither Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or the 26-year-old available.
The club confirmed that he successfully underwent the operation on his knee and he will now spend four to six weeks recovering.
Premier League struggles
Lacazette’s struggles in England were strongly highlighted last week at Wembley, as he missed numerous opportunities to draw Arsenal level.
Having come on as a substitute, the first of the Frenchman’s opportunities fell late on, as he sent his volley well beyond Hugo Lloris’ crossbar after the ball fell so kindly for him.
Lacazette then looked destined to resue the Gunners a point after he was sent racing away through on goal only to drag his shot wide of the far post.
Right now, he seems to be suffering from a real lack of confidence, not helped by the arrival of Aubameyang in January.
