Everyone uses one word to describe Tottenham following late slip vs Rochdale

Viewers of this evening’s FA Cup clash between Rochdale and Tottenham have taken to social media in their droves to poke fun at Spurs, after Mauricio Pochettino’s men conceded a late equalizer to their lowly opponents.

The two sides went head to head at the Spotland Stadium, with hosts Rochdale coming into proceedings glued to the bottom of the League One table with just 25 points from their 28 league outings to this point in the campaign.

Tottenham, meanwhile, travelled to Spotland full of confidence, having come back from 2 goals down to earn a crucial 2-2 draw with Italian giants Juventus in the Champions League during the week, with the North Londoners having also put both Manchester United and Arsenal to the sword in the Premier League over recent weeks.

Unsurprisingly, ahead of kick-off, fans and pundits alike labelled visitors Tottenham as absolute favourites this evening, with the absence of the likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli from the starting lineup of the capital giants not expected to prove particularly detrimental to the hopes of Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

As such, as the first-half wore on, and Rochdale continually snuffed out the attacks of their illustrious opponents, the slightest glimmer of hope on the part of the home side began to come to the fore.

Tottenham eventually managed to find an equalizer on the hour mark, as January signing Lucas Moura slotted home comfortably following Moussa Sissoko’s pass to ease the nerves of the travelling supporters.

Mauricio Pochettino introduced both Dele Alli and Harry Kane as late substitutes in a bid to turn the tie completely in his side’s favour, and he looked to have done exactly that with just two minutes to go in normal time, as Kane found the from the penalty spot net after Alli was felled in the Rochdale box.

However, amazingly, the goals did not stop there, as Steve Davies ensured a replay trip to Wembley for his Dale teammates with a brilliant driven finish past Michel Vorm in the 3rd minute of injury-time.

And viewers of the clash have since been absolutely ruthless in their Tottenham-based abuse across social media, with one word persistently coming to the fore to describe the collapse of the Premier League outfit:
