Something strange happened in the January transfer window.

In a rarity in the modern game, Arsenal and Man United completed a swap deal.

Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mhkitaryan switched clubs, and now the tabloids think it could happen again.

That, of course, is most likely foolish.

According to the Star on Sunday, who seem addicted to transfer gossip, Chelsea and Man City could do a swap deal this summer.

Sergio Aguero & Eden Hazard

In a rumour which will surely never, ever happen, the Star announce that Sergio Aguero could join to Chelsea, and Eden Hazard could move to Man City.

Chelsea would demand Sergio Aguero in exchange for Eden Hazard is Man City come calling this summer.

The Premier League leaders have been linked with a staggering 150 million pounds move for the Belgian this summer.

But Chelsea are already fighting to keep Hazard out of the clutched of Real Madrid and are discussing a new contract with their star man.

Chelsea fans would be forgiven for rolling their eyes.

It doesn’t make sense for Chelsea to swap Hazard, who is 27 and under contract until 2020, with Aguero, who is 29 and also out of contract in 2020.

This whole rumour seems based on the fact that there are never ending rumours about Hazard’s ongoing Chelsea future.

And with a possibly bad week ahead as the Blues take on Barcelona in the Champions League, perhaps the Star are trying to stir up controversy before another Chelsea defeat?

As for the Express on Sunday, they link Gareth Bale with Chelsea in a Real Madrid deal with the Blues.

For the record, Chelsea have been drawn away at Leicester in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

The Blues beat Hull 4-0 on Friday night.
