Everton fans are sharing news on social media on Monday that influential midfielder Idrissa Gueye has agreed a new deal with the Toffees. The whole story is bizarre as there has been no mention from Everton, or Gueye for that matter, on any new contract. Yet on the FA’s official website it’s revealed that Idrissa Gueye has agreed to a new five-year deal with Everton which would see him earn £75,000-a-week. Although the Toffees never announced the deal, the papers were lodged with the FA on October 27. Gueye will remain at Goodison Park until 2022.
