SPRING, Texas – A teenage girl who was initially believed to be one of two victims in a Houston-area carjacking and robbery Friday night is now a suspect, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Susan Marie Mize, 17, and an alleged 16-year-old accomplice face charges of felony aggravated robbery. Authorities have also identified a third suspect, a 15-year-old, and are filing a warrant for his arrest. Harris County officers went to the home of Preston Barry, Mize’s friend, around 11:30 p.m. after Barry reported that they had been robbed. Deputies then went to Mize’s residence to speak to her regarding the robbery. BEVERLY HILLS, Fla. – A Florida man is accused of using a coat hanger-like tool to remove pork bones from his dog’s intestinal tract. 58-year-old Anthony Avella took the dachshund to a local veterinarian after the unsuccessful procedure, according to WFLA. The vet advised he take the dog to an advanced animal facility treatment. But when animal control officials went to the Avella’s home to check on the dog, they discovered the animal had still not been treated. Warrants were issued for Avella’s arrest and he was charged with practicing veterinary medicine without a license and causing cruel death, pain, and suffering to an animal. The dog has since received medical care and is expected to be OK.

LOUIS, Mo. - Three people were robbed and one of them shot after confrontations with someone posing as a cell phone seller using the LetGo app. According to our partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Normandy police are investigating two of the incidents. The department tweeted out a warning urging residents to avoid buying electronics from strangers using the app. LetGo is an app where people can buy and sell used items locally. But in three different encounters, the situations appear to have turned dangerous. MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO – The Maryland Heights Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened along I-270 just south of I-70. The incident occurred around 3 pm Saturday afternoon on the northbound shoulder of I-270, when a man parked his vehicle, exited the car and began shooting a handgun into the air. Police officers were dispatched the scene and arrested the suspect without incident. A spokesperson for the Maryland Heights Police Department says a gun was recovered. There were no injuries to the officers or passing motorist. 3 lanes of the interstate were closed as a precaution, but were quickly reopened once the suspect was taken into custody. No word on why the man fired his handgun into the air or his identity. An investigation is ongoing.

A 15-year-old boy accused of killing two students in a shooting at a Kentucky high school last month will be tried as an adult, state police said Friday. A grand jury indicted Gabriel R. Parker on two counts of murder and 14 counts of first-degree assault in the January 23 shooting at Marshall County High School in western Kentucky, police said in a statement. He was arraigned Friday at the Marshall County Circuit Court. His bond was set at $1.5 million, according to The Courier-Journal in Louisville. Before the arraignment, Parker was held in a juvenile detention facility and had not been identified. CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A local man is facing charges after police say he distributed child pornography. Police say an officer assigned to the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force received downloads from Jonathon Bratton, 37, containing children engaging in sexual activity. Bratton was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child. He was arraigned and released. Police say additional charges are possible.
